This analysis delved into key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement. Some of the critical insights include:
* ⚠ A significant *cancellation rate of 24.83%* is leading to a substantial *lost revenue of ₹199 million*. The increasing trend in cancellations week-over-week and month-over-month is particularly concerning.
* ⏳ A large portion of cancellations happen very close to check-in (0-2 days prior), indicating a need to understand the drivers behind these last-minute changes.
* 💰 The impact of lost revenue from cancellations varies across properties, with *ITC Exotica and ITC Palace experiencing the highest losses*, suggesting the need for property-specific strategies.
* 🗓 Interestingly, a significant number of bookings are also made within a short window (0-2 days prior to check-in), highlighting the importance of dynamic inventory and pricing.
* 🎉 Weekends show consistently high occupancy, presenting an opportunity to focus on strategies to boost weekday occupancy.
* 🔍 Noticed some potentially anomalous occupancy data for certain room categories (RT4, RT3, RT1, RT2), suggesting a need for data quality review.
